Gameplay Programming

Zhomebie
Game Jam Project (Global Game Jam 2019)
Game Engine : Unity
Language : C#
Team : 4 programmers, 4 game designer / graphistes
Duration : 48 h
Subjet: " What home means for you ? "
Zhomebie is First Person Shooter. The goal of the game is to defend your house from a zombie invasion using your weapons and traps made available throughout the house.

My contributions
On this project, I started by working on the 3Cs (Camera, Character, Controller) in FPS view.
Then, I set up the collectibles (balls, healing kit) and managed the drag and drop of the traps (in particular the fact of not having 2 traps at the same time in the hand, if you try the first trap is dropped and you recover the 2nd trap).
The last day, I worked on the HUD (life bar, number of remaining balls...) and I was able to create thanks to the Unity animator 2 animations that launch themselves when we use our weapons: baseball bat shot and rifle shot.
The remaining time was used to refine and debug the project.
What the project has brought to me
I wanted to participate in this project because I wanted to discover what a "Game Jam" was and I wanted to develop my ability to work on a short-term project.
This project helped me to organize myself quickly (to manage time well over the different phases, to know what is more or less important... ) in the most cost-effective way.
I also learned to communicate effectively with others, whether to share our ideas or to decide on everyone's role in the project.
I was also able to improve my mastery of Perforce and my work experience with other trades.
