My role in the project
My most important task on the final project was to set up the Hub. First of all, I worked on prototypes of mini-games and activities that were not selected after all.
I set up the system of mechanism of entry / exit of the mini-games and exit of the HUB (catchable stone + animation + stars), then on the feedback at the end of the mini-games (see the stone in the center of the HUB).
Then I looked at code and graphics optimization because we had performance problems. I ended up helping to debug and help other programmers on their mini-game.
What I learned
This project allowed me to discover "virtual reality" and its constraints. I was able to deepen my knowledge of Unreal, C++ and Perforce.
We have been introduced to the use of Jira.
Once again, good organization and time management were more than necessary. I was able to experiment 2 ways of working on the same project: on the one hand, working in duo with an LD/GD and on the other hand with a group of about thirty people.
